When it comes to language, it is believed that there should be only one language that predominates over all other languages and eventually result in their disappearance. Personally, i totally disagree with this statement and believe that the diversity of the language should be maintained.

First of all, there are obvious disadvantages to having one global language. A language is much more just a means of communication but a vital connection with its culture. A country is unique with its own way of life and perspective of the world which would be lost if there were only one language. In addition, it would end up in the collapse of the tourism industry because of the lack of pleasure and excitement to travel if all country have similar cultures. This would lead to the recession of countries' economic which rely on tourism as the mainstay.

Secondly, the advantages that multilinguals exhibit over monolinguals. The substantial long-lived cognitive, social, personal, academic, and professional benefits of enrichment bilingual contexts have been well documented. Children and older persons learning foreign languages have been demonstrated to: be more efficient communicators, be consistently better able to deal with distractions, which may help offset age-related declines in mental dexterity; have shaper memories....

In conclusion, too much would be lost in culture, economic and personal lond-lived benefits as a result. Maintaining the diversity of language should be prioritised to ensure the cultural identity and diversity for future generations

Along the history of the world, people has been looking for the effective methods to communicate; and one of those is language. It is believed that using only one language can be beneficial. However, to some extent, I cannot agree with this perception.

Initially, using only one language as a global language can lead to the impoverished situation for non-native speakers to express their feelings. That all the words of a language can be translated into another one is impossible, which may cause some cultural troubles. For example, the Eskimo have several words for “snow”, but in English, the language that is utilized all over the world, there is no other alternatives for “snow”, which may be a drawback to people in frozen areas.

On the other hand, if only one language is used as a global language, it is unfair to non-native speakers. A language can cultivate an elite class with native speakers because they can take advantage of the ability to think and respond quickly and even cleverly in their mother-tongue. On the contrary, non-native speakers are unable to demonstrate all their talents due to the difficulty in using a foreign language. This unfairness is attributive to the potential of creating a linguistic gap which may bring native speakers into conflicts with non-native speakers. Moreover, introducing a language as the only global language, especially the one that having a history of cruel colonialism and wars can pose threats of future dominance. People making use of this global language might use it to take control of others and make them unnecessary.

In conclusion, which language should be used as a global language and how to manipulating it need to be taken into more details.

The world has more than 200 languages, and each of which is one part of the long established culture. However, in the context of globalization the urge of one language – the lingua franca is increasingly relevant. This idea has both strengths and weaknesses.

Firstly, one language will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of communication. When everyone is speaking the same language, they can understand each other easier. There would be such thing as “lost in translation”. Information and ideas would flow faster and easier since there is no need for translation. Publishing industry could save a huge cost because whichever books got published, it is published in the universal language instead of being translated in ten or twenty languages. As a result, the human being’s development is even more exponential. Furthermore, the improvement in communication will lead to the development of economy because a lot of cost related to language barriers are no longer relevant.

On the other hand, universal language is not fancy because it leads to the diminishing of other languages. A language is like a living body, if it is not growing, it is dying. If everyone will be using a lingua franca, they speak their mother tongues less. Therefore, it is foreseeable that these mother tongues will gradually deterred and die in a near future. And in less a century, the human beings will lose all of intangible heritage. It is not only the language but also the culture and the traditional.

In conclusion, in the globalization context universal language has strengths outweighing weaknesses. Despite that, it is essential to keep all other languages alive because it is the uniqueness of individual nation.

It is debated that individuals on Earth ought to converse with each other solely one language. I completely disagree with this statement for the following chief causes.

It is often supposed that it is worth using a single global language. This is because all the world's citizens would have the ability to communicate effortlessly with people from different countries, thereby promoting international peace and understanding. However, I believe this to be a very shortsighted and unrealistic thought. It is indisputable that if people spoke the same language, there would be no cultural diversity. In fact, human beings come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures, so a single global language might lead to homogeneity as opposed to differentiation. As a consequence, other cultures might be damaged, which drags on the stagnation of new ideas as well as inventions.

For a couple of reasons, the idea of having one single language for the whole world would be impracticable. First and foremost, humans need diverse languages in order to move forward with our society in a positive way. To be more specific, the world would become monotonous and humdrum when everyone has the same thoughts and ideas. Scientifically, Darwin's theory of evolution preaches diverse species survive whereas ones that can't adapt fail.Secondly, there are approximately 6,500 languages still used, so the act of transforming all kinds of languages would cost a huge amount of money and be time-consuming, not to mention the redundancy of people to eliminate their own dialects.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that the idea of using a single global language would be completely flawed and unfeasible.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is a popular belief that there should be only one language spoken all countries in the world. In my opinion, I completely agree with this idea.

Firstly, the decrease in the number of language would save a lot of budget for governments. Admittedly, without lesson about the other languages, human can face troubles communicating with foreign people in a nation whose citizens want to keep their hometown’s traditional values and identity by speaking only mother tongue, which leads to the difficulty in the integration of some developing countries such as Vietnam. However, this reduction would reserve a large amount of money in order to invest in some more necessary sectors. Instead of spending a part of public budget on paying the wage of language teacher, government would take the same money to invest in infrastructure and health care which results in improving the standard of living for people. Additionally, , the amount of work in the current curriculum could be substantially reduced, as students are now required to study less than they had to with the monopoly of a certain language in the world.

Secondly, the constraints of communication will be removed, which is the precursor of widespread globalization. Granted, society will suffer from the gradual disappearance of a whole culture and history. As a result, future generations can only learn about extinct societies through books and videos. The extinction of the old Egyptian language, which prevent historians from translating ancient materials, leads to the mystery of Egyptian kingdoms never being fully discovered. Yet the increased popularity of English has enabled communication, pursuit of work and education to others from different countries. There are also benefits for employees as they can live and work for an international company in a foreign country.

In conclusion, although the monopoly of a certain language has a detrimental effects, this is a catalyst to some positive developments in the world.

The 30 past years have witnessed a remarkable increase in the use of some international languages such as English and Chinese. However, not a few people are convinced that only one language should be utilized to bring about the best outcomes for the whole world. To my way of thinking, this viewpoint is justifiable to a certain extend.

On the one hand, having one global language is believed to have positive effects on both the development of individuals and nations. Firstly, speaking the same language is likely to enhance mutual understanding between people from other countries and their knowledge about various fields in life without needing neither translations nor interpreters, which can profusely provoke their passion for learning and discovery. Secondly, with the help of the global language, the economic growth of each country can be tremendously encouraged and developed. In fact, with all people speaking the same language, there will be less barriers and therefore trade would flourish between countries, resulting in a healthier world economy.

On the other hand, using only one language over the world can cause harm to the diversity of cultures and the development of tourism. To be specific, speaking one language means the disappearance of other languages, and along with them, their cultures. As one country has a unique ways of life and perspectives, the loss of its mother tounge will damage its tradional values and the recognition of its freedom. In addtion, the collapse of tourism is unavoidable because there would be no reason to travel for interest and pleasure when all nations had the same language and similar cultures. This can lead to the reduction in a source of income based on tourism.

In conclusion, there are several benefits and drawbacks brought about by the use of a global language. However, in my opinion, there is no need to speak only one language when people recognize many potential disadvantages caused by this trend.

Despite of the infeasible of using one common language all around the world, I think it is not only more convenient for the communication among people but also for the economy.

Nowadays, in order to be able to communicate with foreigners, major of citizens in countries attempt to learn other languages besides their mother tongues. Especially, English is now immensely used. However, the process of learning English of few countries is more difficult such as China, Japan, Korea, Thailand… due to the fact that their languages are written in figurative letters. If the world used one language, spending time on learning other languages would no longer be needed. People all the world could easily communicate to each other. In addition, one’s education could be improved vastly since the difference of languages would not be one of the barriers of going study abroad.

Furthermore, using one language may enhance the economy. It is known that language reflects cultures. Hypothetically, a world using one language might share common cultures, which might boost the economy. Firstly, trading between countries would be less challenging. For example, Vietnamese movies could be watched widely in America also since American can partly understand Vietnamese culture, which would be profitable for Vietnamese cine industry. Secondly, more jobs would be available for citizens. Not only would the opportunities to work abroad be greater but also the efficiency would increase due to working abroad in a familiar atmosphere.

To sum up, I totally support the idea of the world using one language although it is impossible. Some results are obvious such as conveniences in communication and improvement of the economy.

As a matter of fact, second language has long been considered as an indispensable part of developing of countries across the world. Some people are of the opinion that one language should be applied in countries all over the world. In this essay, the merits and drawbacks of this phenomenon will be analyzed in depth.

To begin with, it is clear that people may enjoy numerous benefits brought by this trend and the most striking one is that the international trade will significantly increase. To be more specific, we cannot deny the fact that the globalization will take place with ease and many people living in poor countries will have a great living condition, it means that poverty and famine are now no longer the case. It is almost impossible to imagine how people could understand the others living in many different countries. In this case, they are more likely to be aware of discrimination, poverty, hardship of people in nations all over the world and take actions to give them the helping hands to overcome the difficulties and make ends meet.

When the drawbacks are taken into account, this opinion is also convincing in a sense. The evidence reveals that the world war may happen mainly because some countries will object to the language applied to communicate in global. It is not fair enough to many other countries and their citizens obviously have to make constant efforts to learn another language with challenges and difficulties. Beside, the diversity of culture in many nations around the world will be lost because of alternative language. It is worth pointing out that the second language may make people change their point of view and ways of living. For instance, the long-standing tradition of Vietnam is gifting children the lucky money on Tet holiday while some people are strongly impacted by Western lifestyle and they may forget their own national culture in the long run.

On the whole, I am firmly convinced that people across the world have equal rights to live with their national culture, tradition and language so that they can live and work with joys and comforts.

It is undeniable that learning a new language is not easy and it takes a really long time, especially with anyone who don’t have linguistic talented, to be a master in a foreign language. It would be great if we communicate by only one language, but I favor the idea that we should keep the linguistic diversity as it is now for some reason as follow.

First, language is not only a communication mean, it also represents a country’s or a region’s custom or culture. The development of a language reflects the forming and the growth of a country or a group of people and we all know that there are many countries and people on around this world. Depending on each region’s condition, the people are living there would create words to show their feelings, objects, etc. in their daily life and using only one language would never happened. We can take English as a typical example. English is the international language now, but English at each country or each region has different characteristics. British English, American English, or Australian English are a little bit different. The difference is much more bigger if it comes to Japanese English or Indian English.

Second, sicentists studied on what would happen if we use only one language, and the result showed that the culture associated with the losing language would be disappeared. The reason is that the language and culture are tied together. Imagining that all countries have only one language, then I would not have chance to enrich my mind with other countries’ culture or custom. So, that is why I still hoping we would keep the multiple languages as we are now.

In conclusion, the difficulty in learning a new language is learning proactively. I mean we should learn not only the language but also understanding the culture associated with it, then we could love that language and not afraid to learn it any more.

It is commonly believed that people all over the world should use one unique language. To my point of view, it is such an excellent idea because of many reasons.

There are many advantages when the whole world uses the same language. The first one concerned is that it is easier for people from different countries to communicate. That there are 195 countries and more than 6500 languages being used all over the world is such an enormous difficulty in communication. Using one single language helps to bring people together and remove the language barrier. For example, the problems an American could face when being in a different country such as Vietnam when he is on vacation can be reduced if there is only a language used.

Another reason for this is that it helps business develop. In a world of integration, a company in Vietnam has to know the laws of America to do business. The fact that each country has its own policies and laws which force companies to follow, compared to the huge number of nations in the world, is a big trouble. Using the same language becomes the best solution. Translation is not a completely effective solution because there are many words that cannot be translate exactly. For example, the world “Internet” is being used all over the world without any translation..

In conclusion, it is wonderful if there is only one language used by the entire human race.

The contemporary society have witnessed significant breakthrough of international transaction and communication despite the presence of geographical barriers . However , the disparities in different languages could potentially hinder these developments ,exert negative implications on other myriad of aspects and this discrepancy allegedly should be abandoned . From my perspective , I partly do not advocate with this conception and will attempt to investigate both positive and negative influences.

On the one hand , the elimination language's differences could bring more pragmatic values to overseas individuals and foreign visitors. As referred previously , this could be seen as progress in facilitating international trade , help worldwide government to raise enormous annual revenue from transaction, which accordingly enhance working opportunities and ameliorate citizens's life standard .The popularity of international language not only host vital position in improving personal relationships but also stimulate the countries'connection development . To exemplify . nowadays , English become a powerful tool for international comunication ,wirde range of citizens are given incentives to learn this as a mother-tongue to recieve the global accepted qualifications..

On the other hand , the loss of language diversity could be long-term outcome and a endagered precursor for the other fields such as religions , traditional trends of fashions , which considerably are related to this conception .On the far-reaching effects , some linguistic professors , hence , argued that the toursim demands would exponentially decrease and regulatory bodies could encounter numerous obstacles in maintaining the
original value of cultural heritages .Furthermore , uniqueness of different individuals will be on the verge of existence and people no more undergo special experiences.

To sum up , the language diversity is the optimal priority , in my point of view and authority should figure out initiatives ot ensure its longevity.

Language is the vehicle we use to communicate with each other and each ethnicity has its own mother tongue. Some people think that the world should use only one language, while with my own point of view, I believe that we had better keep individual language of their country.
To begin with, languages profoundly belong to each ethnic cultures, so maintaining a national language is extremely important. Moreover, everyone knows that every country has many traditional habits and customs that symbolize for their countries. To create many languages is a very long period, our ancestor had spent all their knowledge and abilities, that’s why we need to maintain and appreciate every precious treasures kept till these days. Languages make us distinct from the others and having many languages make the world become wonderful. In addition, learning languages is really interesting because they are both mysterious and have their own meaning. We live in a multilingual world that is becoming increasingly globalized and it is therefore very important to know more than one language.
By contrast, having one global language is that people can communicate with each other by only one language, they do not have to learn more languages so that human get closer with no language barriers. Moreover, if we have a single global language that all the world's citizens would have the ability to communicate easily with individuals from different countries. For example, we can easily understand the conversation and reduce the warrior if there was a misunderstanding situation.
In conclusion, having many languages around the world is vital for each ethnicity according to their cultural backgrounds, while we can also approach to the peace ful world with no barriers. However, I strongly believe that our language is very fascinating and it is our identity to tell people where we come from, keeping it is one of our responsibility
